BCM - VISION

Our vision statement which guides us forward:

We are a community called to be and to bring Jesus' message of grace to those whom we live and work with in Summit County.

We:
God calls every Christian to be in ministry and so we work to affirm and support each other as we minister in our daily lives.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's own people, in order that you may proclaim the mighty acts of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Community:
Followers of Christ are called to live a shared life. We consciously make choices that draw our lives together and foster our sense of belonging. Through relationships we grow to see God, others, and ourselves more clearly.
Romans 12:4,5
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another.
To be:
We are on a journey which transforms us. In the process, we come to know God better and to more fully embody the presence of Jesus.
2 Corinthians 3:18
And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a
mirror, are being transformed into the same
image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.
To bring:
We want to live lives that paint a picture of the God whom we serve! We are God's hands and voice in this world, and we desire to share His grace with others.
Luke 4:18,19
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because
he has anointed me to bring good news to
the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim
release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
Jesus' message of grace:
God wants to have an intimate, committed relationship with you no matter who you are, where you're from, what you've done, or what you look like.
Romans 8:38,39
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
