BCM - Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you have a pastor? - While we do have paid staff, we believe that all of us are called to be ministers. We remind ourselves of this by not having one person called "the pastor".

Are you affiliated with a specific Christian denomination? - No, we are an interdenominational church. We have members from a variety of backgrounds - from Lutheran to Baptist, Methodist to Catholic. Many of our members have no church background at all.

How does a person become a member? - You must sign your name in blood and learn the secret handshake (just kidding). Actually, we have no formal membership. If you choose to intentionally participate in the life of our community, you're a member!

What is the leadership structure at BCM? - Day to day leadership is provided by the leaders of various ministries. We have a Church Board which makes decisions on larger issues.
